Non-Invasive Home Inspection
A home inspector will not cut, open or remove part of the home or building such as parts of ceilings, walls or tiles. Home inspectors will utilize completely non-invasive methods. They also must not guess or speculate in regards to what is happening in areas they can’t see such as behind walls, below floors or above ceilings.
They can, however, use their experience, knowledge and tools when inspecting a home.
Because the home inspector must not make predictions about what is happening in a closed area, everything needs to be tested and investigated.
It can be helpful if the key areas of a home are accessible to a home inspector. This way they will be able to access areas of interest without furniture, boxes or other ‘stuff’ blocking the way.
Conclusion
In conclusion, a home inspection will be non-invasive. There will be no damage to the home from the inspection. The home inspector is limited to a vision inspection and must draw on their experience, knowledge and education.
